We have provided a professional, quality jewellery repairs service for over 30 years. Whether it is a simple ring sizing or a complete redesign, we can restore your most precious possessions to be as good as new.
Services include steam cleaning, sizing, re-polishing and rhodium plating, stone identification, replacement and re-cutting, claw re-tipping, the fitting of new full or half shanks, chain and bracelet adjustments, watch straps and battery replacements (our brands only) and pearl re-stringing.
WATCH BRACELET ADJUSTMENT
If you have recently purchased a watch from Macintyres and the bracelet is too big for your wrist, please visit our showroom where a member of staff will be happy to adjust it for you, free of charge.
If you prefer you can return the watch to us, with details of the size you need it adjusted to, and we will adjust it for you and return within 5 working days. There may be some watches that have to be returned to the manufacturer for adjustment. We will advise if the watch you return has to go back to the manufacturer and an approximate timescale. We do not charge for this service but you do need to pay to post the watch back to us. We recommend for your own protection returning items by Royal Mail Special or Recorded Delivery depending on the value of the item. This ensures proof of delivery and insurance on the goods while in transit. Macintyres of Edinburgh cannot accept any responsibility for returned items that have not been sent using the above delivery methods.
If the watch bracelet is too small we can usually provide up to three links free of charge; however there may be a charge if you require more than three links or if they are made of a precious metal, e.g. 9ct gold.
